FAQ: LIPBLUSH

+ WHAT IS LIPBLUSH?

+ AM I GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE?

You can NOT have this procedure done if:

You are pregnant, nursing or trying.
Under 18 years of age
Use Accutane or have used it within a year
Diabetic - Consult with your physician
Have Hepatitis, HIV or any other viral infections or diseases
Have a heart condition or pacemaker - Consult with your physician
Have an organ transplant - Consult with your physician
Have a bleeding disorder such a hemophilia
Taking blood clotting medication
Using Retin-A or Retinols. Must stop using 4 weeks prior to the procedure and 30 days after.
Undergoing Chemotherapy
Epilepsy
Skin sensitivity or irritations: eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, sunburn, rash and blemishes
Sick (cold/flu) - reschedule appointment if you are unwell.
Have had a tattoo done by another artist that is quite dark - send an image of your lips.
List all medication & supplements that are being taken
Inform me of any allergies or sensitivities you may have

+ WILL COSMETIC LIPBLUSH TATTOO WORK FOR ME?

Results will vary per client and are never guaranteed.
If you have dark coloured lips, please send an image via text or email - The first appointment will be for colour correction first.

+ PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

DO NOT consume caffeine, medication (unless prescribed by a physician and I need to be notified 48-72 hours in advance), blood thinners (ibuprofen, Niacin, aspirin, vitamin c) and alcohol 48-72 hours prior. This will help avoid excess bledding
DO NOT come to your appointment if you have a cold sore on your lip. You must see your physician and recieve proper treatment to inhibit an outbreak. Anti-viral medication must be used a few days before and after your appointment. If you arrive with a cold sore, your appointment will be cancelled and security deposit will be foreited. Please note: if an outbreak occurs after the procedure, during the healing process, it will take a longer period for your lips to heal.
DO NOT come to your appointment if you have dry / cracked /acne or scratched lips. If you arrive with any of the mentioned, your appointment will be cancelled and security deposit will be foreited.
STOP using glycolic acids, vitamin A + D, exfoliants on and around the lip area 4 weeks prior to your appointment
Botox, Juvederm and other cosmetic fillers need to be done 4 weeks prior to your appointment and need to be done no less than 4 weeks after the procedure
Please note that the lip area will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle

+ LETS TALK COLDSORES

It's important to understand that if you have had a coldsore in the past, it's likely that a coldsore outbreak may occur during the healing process.
